Which delivery companies can deliver to iParcelBox?
iParcelBox is fully courier-agnostic, so anyone can make a delivery to iParcelBox. The delivery driver just presses the button on the front of your iParcelBox – no special access codes or custom software required.
Our customers have already successfully received hundreds of thousands of parcels from all the major logistics providers in the UK, as well as friends and family.
What delivery instructions should I use when buying online?
Most online stores allow you to leave special delivery instructions at the time of checkout. It is recommended that you provide the following instructions:

Can iParcelBox accept multiple deliveries?
Yes. iParcelBox will send you a notification when a subsequent delivery is requested, allowing you to remotely unlock iParcelBox and allow the delivery to be made.
Can iParcelBox accept deliveries requiring a signature / proof of delivery?
iParcelBox has a unique barcode, located on the inside of the lid. When this barcode is scanned or photographed by the courier / delivery driver, this acts as proof of delivery for your parcel. Couriers can also record the barcode number as proof of delivery if they do not have a barcode scanner.
What if I’m not near my phone when a delivery is attempted?
If your iParcelBox is empty, it will automatically unlock to allow a delivery. For subsequent deliveries you need to have access to your smartphone to remotely unlock to allow a delivery. If you have an iParcelBox Premium subscription you also have several options to allow unattended deliveries.

How do I install my iParcelBox?
Fully detailed installation instructions are included in the box. It takes around 20-30 minutes and involves. Drilling 4 holes for the fixings, routing the power supply and connecting iParcelBox to your wifi network using the smartphone app. A fully detailed installation video is also available at www.iparcelbox.com/setup.
How do I link iParcelBox with my smartphone?
When you install your iParcelBox, the smartphone app will take you through the process of connecting iParcelBox to your home Wi-Fi connection, and associating your smartphone with your iParcelBox. Once setup is complete, as long as iParcelBox has power and is within range of your Wi-Fi network, you’ll be able to control it from your smartphone app, wherever you are in the world.
Do you provide a professional installation service?
We don’t currently offer professional installation. Should you require help installing your iParcelBox, we recommend that you contact a local electrical or security system installer.
How is iParcelBox powered?
Mains powered option:
iParcelBox requires a 5v DC power supply, and is provided with a 5v DC mains adapter.
If you already have a suitable external IP rated power supply enclosure large enough for the 5v power adapter, or if you can route the 5v power adapter to an internal power socket, you may decide to install iParcelBox yourself.
We recommend that if any modifications are necessary to your electrical installation, you have your iParcelBox professionally installed by a qualified electrician. This will keep you safe and avoid damaging your electrical installation or your iParcelBox.
Battery powered option:
iParcelBox comes with an integrated rechargeable battery, and is provided with a 5v DC mains adapter and 3m cable for charging.

How secure is iParcelBox?
iParcelBox is made of steel. The compartment is locked and if it contains parcels is only accessible when unlocked by you.
Please however note that iParcelBox is not a safe and not protected against a determined attempt to break in with power tools.
What’s to stop a thief just stealing the iParcelBox with your parcels inside?
iParcelBox comes with pre-drilled holes for either wall or floor fixing, and is supplied with multi-material fixings. it also automatically locks if the power supply / Wi-Fi supply is interrupted.
What happens if the iParcelBox power cable is cut / there is a powercut?
In the event that power is removed from iParcelBox; there is a powercut or the battery-powered model runs out of charge, it will stay locked. When power is reconnected, iParcelBox will remember the box status/number of parcels present and return to normal operation.
The battery-powered version of iParcelBox will continue to operate in the event of a power cut. However if your WiFi network goes down due to lack of power, you will be unable to remotely receive notifications / control the iParcelBox from your smartphone.
Is iParcelBox waterproof?
iParcelBox is designed to be installed outdoors, to protect your parcels from the worst of the weather. Please note that it is weather resistant but not waterproof, so parcels should be removed regularly. In particularly inclement weather, small amounts of water may enter the iParcelBox.
Are parcels stored in iParcelBox insured?
Household insurance providers may consider your iParcelBox as an outbuilding and cover its contents. We do however recommend that you contact your insurance company to clarify the terms of your specific policy.
How long will the battery charge last?
A fully charged battery should last 4-6 months in normal use.
How do I charge the battery?
There are a number of ways to charge the iParcelBox battery:
My iParcelBox status is ‘Asleep’. What does that mean?
When your iParcelBox is empty and running on battery, it goes to sleep to save power. It wakes up when you press the button for a delivery request.
If there’s a parcel inside, it stays awake and connected to your WiFi network. It can quickly notify you of delivery requests or let you manage subsequent deliveries in the app. But this uses more battery, so it’s best to empty your iParcelBox regularly to save battery.
When it’s asleep, it wakes up every 2-3 hours to update settings. When charging, the app might only show the battery level changing every few hours.
Is the battery removable?
No, the battery is a fixed unit and is not removable.
I have an iParcelBox v1 / iParcelBox v2 mains-powered. Can I buy a battery and add it to my device?
No, the battery is a factory fitted unit and cannot be added after purchase. If you wish to upgrade your existing iParcelBox to a battery-powered version, please contact us at support@iparcelbox.com for further details.
How much does iParcelBox Premium cost?
iParcelBox Premium is free for the first 90 days when you sign up to a subscription. Thereafter, iParcelBox Premium costs £2.50/month (subject to our Terms & Conditions)

What CCTV / Webcams are compatible with iParcelBox?
All ONVIF compatible camera systems can be configured to link to the iParcelBox app.
If you have an EZVIZ camera, you can connect your camera directly within the iParcelBox app. Read more about our collaboration with EZVIZ here.
For other systems you may need to obtain the URL for your camera and enter this into the iParcelBox app. You may also need to change the port forwarding settings on your wifi router.
Is iParcelBox compatible with ring cameras and doorbells?
Currently we are unable to link your ring video stream directly into the iParcelBox app.
You will need to view your video doorbell using the ring app, then switch to your iParcelBox app to allow a delivery.
Is iParcelBox compatible with nest cameras and doorbells?
If you use the nest app (rather than Google Home), it is possible to create a Public Share link to your nest camera within the nest app. This link can then be entered into the iParcelBox webcam settings page. This feature is no longer available for Google Home linked nest cameras.
How do I link Alexa to my iParcelBox?
To connect Alexa to your iParcelBox, install the iParcelBox skill within the Amazon Alexa app, then enter your iParcelBox account username and password when prompted to link the accounts.
What are secure access digital keys?
iParcelBox Premium subscribers can create an unlimited number of digital access keys from within the iParcelBox smartphone app. Each key can be for deliveries, collections or emptying your iParcelBox, and can be set to single use or multiple use. Once created, the key is copied to your clipboard and can be shared with friends, family or couriers (e.g. via text message) as a unique website link.
When the receipient clicks on the digital key link from their device, they will then be able to press the iParcelBox button and completed the specified action (Deliver, Collect, Empty) without you having to manually allow the delivery yourself.

My app is stuck on ‘updating/connecting’ and I can’t control my iParcelBox. How do I reconnect to my iParcelBox?
Due to our robust security settings, occasionally the app becomes disconnected from your iParcelBox. This is most likely to happen if you’ve changed phones and transferred your settings.
To get back online, you just need to disconnect and reconnect the app, by following the below steps:
Note: if you’ve connected a camera in the app, check you’ve made a note of the settings first as you’ll need to re-enter them.

I’m no longer receiving notifications when a parcel is delivered / requested. How can I reset the notifications?
Firstly, check that you’ve downloaded the latest app update, and also check your phone’s settings to make sure that notifications aren’t disabled.
You can now reset notifications directly within the iParcelBox app by going to Settings > Reset iParcelBox > Reset Notifications. You should immediately receive a test notification.
The power supply on my v1 iParcelBox has stopped working. Where can I purchase a replacement?
Our Version 1 iParcelBox models were powered using a custom-made 12v usb-c power supply, which is no longer manufactured.
